One of our favorite activities of our Oklahoma City weekend adventure was going to the Myriad Botanical Gardens on Sunday. We went right after we had brunch at Mary’s Eddy’s, which we also recommend dining at.
The weather was pleasant, as you can see throughout these beautiful pictures. It was great to be able to walk off the yummy food we had at brunch!

Myriad Botanical Gardens | Oklahoma City
The Myriad Botanical Gardens is made up of a 15-acre natural escape in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. You can see it as you’re driving around and the first thing you wonder is what is that cool modern glass building with all of that greenery right in downtown?! It literally draws you in!
This beautiful glass building is actually the Crystal Bridge Conservatory, home to thousands of beautifully displayed tropical and desert plants. It’s hard to believe that there’s around 750 varieties of plants, a cascading waterfall and sky bridge that offer fantastic views into the tropical forest!
It was wonderful to be able to stroll through the open space and see all of the natural beauty surrounding us. Especially, when you look the opposite way and see concrete high rises stretching up into the sky!
Also, nice to see a lot of families enjoying the public outdoor space. People were even walking their dogs along the pretty jogging path that loops around the Crystal Bridge Conservatory.
Check out this view from inside the conservatory! Also, we found this awesome hat in Midtown at a fun boutique right next to the Ambassador Hotel where we stayed! I wasn’t able to find the exact one online but I’ve linked to similar ones: here, here and here (only $39!).
Another favorite travel accessory of ours is our Tory Burch watches and this one is the Tory Burch Classic Chronograph in Rose Gold! It literally goes with everything!
Also important to note: Myriad Botanical Gardens grounds and the items below are free to visit and open to the public. That being said, access to the Crystal Bridge Conservatory will cost you around $8 for adults and they also have many different types of discounts you can look into getting as well. Trust us, again it’s definitely worth it!
Some of their fun spaces include:
- Ornamental gardens
- Children’s garden and playground
- Great Lawn
- Lake
- Off-leash dog park
- Splash fountains for children
- Walking and jogging paths
Inside the observatory there are beautiful views everywhere you look and lots of places for the perfect photo opportunity!
Water Features at the Myriad Botanical Gardens
We also love that the Myriad Botanical Gardens have different water features. Our Uncle was on this trip with us and he helped me set my mirrorless Sony A6000 camera to the correct setting in order to capture this waterfall’s beauty.
I (Emily) love learning more about photography on our blogging journey and I’m beyond happy I went with my mirrorless Sony A6000 camera when first researching cameras to use for Fortuitous Foodies. It’s lightweight making it great for travel and takes fantastic food, macro and landscape photos!
