For our Foodie Find this week we are talking about our love for Qiá Gluten-Free Oatmeal in Creamy Coconut. It’s super healthy with ingredients like chia, buckwheat, hemp, rolled oats and coconut that gives you lots of energy and keeps you full for a long time. It’s also super satisfying! Here’s a little bit more information on the superfood ingredients:
- Chia – has a nut like flavor, is rich in both fiber and Omega-3s
- Buckwheat – is a gluten-free grain rich in amino acids, fatty acids, and B vitamins
- Hemp – A seed with complete protein containing Omega- 3 & 6
- Coconut – known for its nutritious qualities and adds yummy flavor, along with additional fiber
This oatmeal is a super quick and an easy breakfast to make, which we love! It takes us under four minutes to make! We choose the microwave cooking method. All you need to do is add water or your choice of milk or milk substitute and stir, sometimes I use organic skim milk and other times I opt for coconut or almond milk – all delicious choices! Next you microwave for 75 seconds and then let sit for 1-2 minutes. It’s important to let the chia seeds hydrate. Sweeten to taste if you like and add whatever else you like such as fresh fruit, it’s also great on its own. You can use a kettle or try overnight oatmeal as alternative cooking methods.
Here I added walnuts and shredded coconut flakes. Yum!
In this bowl I added walnuts, pineapple, coconut flakes, blueberries and pomegranate seeds for an extra antioxidant boost. With Qia there’s no salt added and it’s vegan – super clean eating! Qia oatmeal is superfood that gives you long-lasting energy and is also incredibly delicious.
Let us know if you try it and what ingredients you like to add to the mix.
