Origin Kitchen + Bar
We were so excited to hear about the opening of Origin Natural Food right on McKinney Avenue in the Knox-Henderson area. Their tagline is “Taking the Hard out of Healthy” making it extra easy for those of us wanting quick, quality food. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and delicious healthy snacks; their Paleo muffins are my favorite (http://paleobydiana.com/). Their food is chef prepared daily using ingredients from all-natural sources. They partner with local ranchers and growers as well, how cool is that?! Each recipe is gluten-free, preservative-free and as far as the fats go, they only use olive and coconut oils.
Origin Natural Food brews yummy hand-crafted coffees using single origin beans from local Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters (http://www.oakcliffcoffee.com/). I am a big fan of their latte with almond milk, it truly is the perfect pick-me-up! They also have an amazing selection of teas in bulk to choose from.
With warmer days ahead, Origin Natural Food is a fantastic spot to grab some healthy treats and delicious coffee and/or tea on their soon to be outside patio while enjoying the day. What an awesome addition to the Uptown area! I am excited to explore more of their Paleo options and highly suggest trying Origin out!
