We had been reading so much buzz about Gemma that we couldn’t wait to try it! A bit of the Hamptons right here in Dallas?! Count us in!
Right when we walked through the doors, off of bustling Henderson Avenue, here in Dallas, we loved the atmosphere – which we describe as elevated nautical with a bit of whimsy – they definitely paid attention to detail.
The wine list is excellent with many European choices along with Californian and Texan wines, Becker Vineyards anyone?
Before ordering we were offered an assortment of freshly baked breads which were all delicious, my favorite was one with figs baked into it.
For our appetizer we went with the fried olives and seasoned pecans that were super tasty. We loved how the olives had a delicate crunch on the outside with a warm, meaty, brininess inside – fantastic!
For dinner I ordered the veal cheeks with spaetzle and they were melt in your mouth amazing!
We had tickets to the Dallas Stars game, so no time for dessert, but we can’t wait for our next meal at Gemma!
